Care Resource co-founder and CEO Bernard F. Lambrese was one of sixteen men honored by the Women's Resource Center (WRC) at its annual Men Who Make a Difference gala for taking an active and positive role in their community.
The event was held on Friday, April 21, at Gurney's Newport Resort & Marina, Newport, and featured a recognition ceremony for the honorees, silent auction, dinner and dancing. Taylor Britto, a Providence Police officer who is also associate pastor and founder of the Journey Through Faith Community Center and a 2015 Men Who Make a Difference honoree, was keynote speaker and Daniel Baker, a teacher at St. Philomena School in Portsmouth, was master of ceremonies. Carol Ryan, a member of WRC's board of directors and development committee, chaired the event.

The Care Resource team filled a table at the event.
"Through the work we do at Women's Resource center, we have a deep appreciation for people who are willing to get involved in their community or who serve as a role model, mentor or inspiration to someone else," says Lori DiPersio, executive director of the Women's Resource Center. "This annual event is our way of saying 'thank you' to some special men who make a difference in the lives of others while also helping us continue our mission and services to women, children and men in Newport and Bristol Counties.
All proceeds form the Men Who Make a Difference gala benefitted the Women's Resource Center, a member of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence that serves Newport and Bristol Counties.
